1. What is your policy on privacy?

InYourElement does not sell or distribute any customer information, under any circumstance, including the information of those customers subscribed to our monthly newsletter. Please see our Privacy Policy (located in the Terms and Conditions) for more information.

2. How do you protect the security of my credit card information?

We use the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and have a digital certificate from GeoTrust, a third-party vendor. Our site is also protected by encryption which scrambles the information you provide and protects it from eavesdroppers. The use of this security technology makes it safe for you to enter your personal and credit card information. Please remember that email is not encrypted and that any confidential information, such as credit card number or social security number, should not be sent via email.

3. What forms of payment are accepted?

For online orders we accept Visa and MasterCard. If you would like to make a purchase through our showroom we will accept Visa, MasterCard, personal checks and cash.

4. How do I use gift certificate or coupon?

Please enter your gift certificate or coupon number in the offer code section of your online order. For gift certificates your PIN is also required. Press the "recalculate" button to see new payment amount. Proceed to checkout and enter payment information if additional payment is needed. Gift certificates and coupons are also redeemable at our showroom. If you have received an email gift certificate, you need only click on the hyper-link in your email; you will be taken to the InYourElement web site and the coupon will already be applied to your shopping cart.

5. What about errors and price changes?

It may occur that there is an error in our system or in pricing. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may cause. Clients will be notified immediately if we find that there are any errors. We reserve the right to change prices without notification, but we will not charge for purchases made until we have direct approval from the client.

6. Do I pay sales tax on my purchases?

Sales tax is applicable to California residents only. Out-of-state or international orders are not subject to California sales tax.

7. What about international orders?

We will ship internationally on a case by case basis. Please call or email us for more information.

8. What is your return and cancellation policy?

We gladly issue store credit only for in-stock items returned within 30 days of purchase. Merchandise must be returned in its original condition with all packing materials, with the original receipt. Any credits issued are good for a period of 36 months following issuance. Shipping costs will not be refunded or credited under any circumstances. All costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the client, unless otherwise stated and approved in writing by InYourElement.

For special orders a minimum of 50% payment amount is required. Cancellation within 48 hours from date of sale will be refunded in full; after that, special orders cannot be cancelled and in addition to the original 50% payment, will be subject to a 30% restock charge of the total value plus any shipping and handling charges incurred. InYourElement reserves the right to change or cancel any order after it has been placed for any reason.

9. What happens if the product shows up damaged?

It is the client's responsibility to inspect products when they are received. Please report product damage to us immediately. Damage claims must be made within 3 days of package arrival. If a package somehow arrives entirely damaged, please do not accept the package and call us immediately.

10. What is the lead/delivery time for these products?

Our in-stock items will ship within 1-2 weeks. Special order products will be delivered within 12-14 weeks. Some products may be available earlier (6-8 weeks depending on availability). Purchases on certain items may also be made at the showroom for immediate pick-up. Please call ahead to confirm. Certain circumstances may necessitate an extended delivery time in which case you will be notified.

11. Why are the custom and special order delivery times so long?

Generally custom and special orders must be individually produced to your specifications. Production takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks. It is then loaded on to a container and shipped from overseas. It takes 5-6 weeks for shipments to arrive at the United States port. The final delivery is generally between 1-2 weeks from customs clearance to delivery at your home.

12. What is included in delivery?

Delivery varies on the size of the package. Small packages will be shipped either FedEx or UPS ground unless otherwise specified. For larger packages we offer two options: curbside delivery or white glove service. White glove service includes delivery of the product into a specified room of your home, professional handling and unwrapping/opening of the package, as well as disposal of all waste associated with the delivery of the product. For certain products we strongly suggest white glove delivery to avoid any damages to your product.

13. Is installation or assembly included?

Certain products may require assembly or installation which we will specify in the product description. When needed, we will contact you.

14. Is there a warranty on your products?

Our products are under a one-year warranty from manufacturer defects. This does not cover normal wear and tear from use and abuse.

16. How do I search your online product catalog?

There are several ways to search our online catalog. One option is the in-site search engine, located at the top of our site. Type the name or category of the product you would like to find. The search engine will then provide you with results related to your criteria. You can also browse our website by clicking on the top navigation bar organized by room, or the bottom navigation bar by category such as accessories, beds, tables, etc.

17. Why do I need to enable cookies?

For the best user experience it is recommended that you enable cookies through your browser. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change this option if yours will not. InYourElement's site may use cookies and tracking technology to serve you better. Cookie and tracking technology are useful for tracking the number of visitors to the site, and how visitors use the site. It can also help our customers when they visit the site again. You can still use the majority of our site if you have disabled cookies.
